🌉 Hosting Quick Evaluation
10 Questions Before You Choose (or Upgrade)
If a hosting provider can’t pass this test… pause.
1️⃣ Are resource limits clearly defined?
If CPU, RAM, or usage caps are vague … that’s a red flag.
2️⃣ Is the renewal price transparent?
Ignore the intro discount.
What will you actually pay long term?
3️⃣ Does the hosting match my traffic stage?
Starter, Growing, or Established?
Buy for where you are … not where you imagine.
4️⃣ Is performance backed by specs?
Do they explain:
- Server stack?
- Caching?
- CDN integration?
“Blazing fast” is not a metric.
5️⃣ Are backups automatic and restorable?
Daily backups are useless if restore is complicated or costly.
6️⃣ Is support truly technical?
Ask a real question before buying.
If the reply is copy-paste fluff … reconsider.
7️⃣ Is upgrading simple?
Can you scale without full migration chaos?
8️⃣ Are security features clearly explained?
Not “military-grade.”
Actual measures.
9️⃣ Do I understand what I’m buying?
If it feels confusing, it probably is.
Clarity is part of quality.
🔟 Am I upgrading because of friction — or fear?
Slow pages under load = friction.
A loud comment section = fear.
Upgrade on evidence.
Not emotion.
🐐 The 30-Second Goat Rule
If you can confidently answer “yes” to at least 8 of these…
You’re likely choosing wisely.
If not?
Step back.
Measure again.
And remember: Smart goats don’t panic-upgrade bridges.
They reinforce when the load demands it. 🌉
