Boxed or Barefoot?
Is AI a boxed tool, ready to obey commands? Or a barefoot wanderer, reshaping the very paths we walk? SEO, once a rigid rulebook, now pirouettes with ever-changing algorithms. Try to box one, and the other slips off the stage. Try to guide both, and you might find yourself dancing to rhythms you didn’t write.
On the SEO Dance Floor
Here’s an example: I once let an AI tool generate an article outline. Brilliant! Structured! Optimized! But the SEO plugin screamed: “Low keyword density! Add H2s!” So I added them. The piece ranked… and fell flat with readers. The dance was technically correct—but joyless.
Then, another time, I wrote barefoot. Chose a metaphor over a keyword. Let a rhythm lead me. That piece didn’t rank immediately. But weeks later, it was shared, cited, and commented on. It resonated. Sometimes, resonance trumps rank.
Being the ‘Adult’
Michael (thank you, comment section) said: “Be the adult in the room.” But what does an adult do in a dance? Lead every move? Or listen, adjust, respond?
Maybe the adult isn’t the one shouting orders.
Maybe it’s the one who knows when to step back. To let SEO hum in the background while AI suggests new steps. To keep the music going.
